Mentoring

Artist Mentoring

I offer mentoring for artists seeking one-off or repeated sessions for thoughtful, constructive conversation about their work. After art school, or if working independently, many artists find themselves without regular, in-depth discussion around their work. Mentoring offers thoughtful critical dialogue and practical support. It provides a safe space to examine the work closely, test and brainstorm ideas, and helps clarify direction, strengthen confidence and maintain focus.

About Me

With over 15 years’ experience working as an artist, alongside teaching, mentoring and directing an exhibition space and studios, I bring critical insight and a broad perspective on the practical, professional and creative challenges involved in sustaining and developing an art practice.

I was a tutor at City & Guilds of London Art School (2011–2021) and have been a visiting tutor at the University of Hertfordshire. I am currently a correspondence tutor at Turps, as well as a visiting tutor at Turps and ESOP. From 2011–2023, I co-founded and directed Block 336, an arts charity that commissioned major solo projects by artists and delivered an ambitious public programme. I raised significant public and private funds for the organisation and produced large-scale exhibitions and events in collaboration with a range of partners. These projects were designed to support artists in taking bold steps in their work and develop their practice.

I have exhibited widely and internationally, presenting three solo exhibitions with Castor since 2012. I am currently working on a commission with Hospital Rooms and am the Royal College of Physicians’ 2026 Visiting Artist.
